Pizziche Tammuriate Tarantelle
Join us in this unique event where the Abbentu group from Calabria will be delivering a live performance and workshop.
‘Abbentu’ is a word echoing from south Italian dialects, carrying a dual meaning: waiting and truce.
The repertoire ranges from pizziche, to tammuriate and tarantelle. Step into Southern Italy for an afternoon, experience the dance that once cured a spider bite and a whirlwind of rhythm, passion, and tradition!
Opportunity to join the workshop or just watch the performance.
No experience needed — only enthusiasm!”
