IRIE! Dance Theatre proudly presents the UK launch of KEHÃ SEEBII – For Those Left Behind, a powerful new work inspired by memory, loss, and collective healing.
Motivated by the tragic loss of lives in the New Cross Fire of 1981, KEHÃ SEEBII offers a moment of stillness and reflection — a prayer of love and compassion for ancestors and descendants.
Through the universal language of movement, KEHÃ SEEBII honours the lives, memories, and legacy of those who have shaped our communities. The performance blends storytelling, ritual, drumming, percussion, and voice to create an atmosphere where grief, love, and hope co-exist in harmony. Every step, every sound, every breath becomes a prayer that transcends time and space.
This moving work invites audiences to journey with the performers through the shared human experience of loss and remembrance, offering moments of collective healing and connection. It is a deeply human exploration of spirit and memory, grounded in African and Caribbean dance traditions and brought to life through IRIE!’s visionary choreography.
